Happy Hour Recipe: Anna's Sloe Gin Fizz

As the summer sun dries out Vancouver's otherwise damp patio furniture, we turned to our team to brighten up our happy hour. Anna Heyd, Wilet's co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, is a veritable vault of craft cocktails and wine knowledge gleaned from years of rubbing elbows with the west coast's hospitality elite. She recommends a classic with a floral flourish.
"This recipe was passed along to me by a friend who worked at the Hawksworth Bar in the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. The first time I served it was at my first ever Indigo dying workshop and it was a hit."

Anna's Sloe Gin Fizz


  • 1 1/2 ounces Sloe Gin
  • 1 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 3/4 ounce simple syrup
  • Club Soda, to top
  • Fresh lavender


  • Combine gin, lemon juice, simple syrup and ice in shaker; 
  • Pour over ice in a low-ball glass;
  • Top with Club Soda;
  • Garnish with sprig of fresh lavender;
  • Serve, sip, enjoy.
