Since 2020, when the Wilet team started to grow beyond just us three co-founders, every additional person we’ve welcomed has exponentially moved our business forward beyond what we ever could have imagined. We know that this momentum will continue with Jackie Kai Ellis joining us as our Head of Product Development and Innovation.
Our first collaboration with Jackie started when she approached us with the idea of returning to design. She asked if we wanted to co-create a collection with her and we couldn’t say yes fast enough. An incredibly successful entrepreneur in her own right as founder of Beaucoup Bakery, a best-selling author, and a person we were all immensely inspired by, we felt the timing was perfect as we had plans to expand our linen home essentials offering to kitchen and dining. Jackie shared her story of bringing The Cuisine Collection by APT to life in a past Journal entry when we launched in September 2020. Jackie has never been far from Wilet. Even after we launched The Cuisine Collection, the relationships that grew out of our first project have kept us in constant contact and she has remained a sounding board for design and creative elements. As we began to set our plans for 2022 and beyond, it became clear that Jackie needed to join us and further refine our future-thinking design ethos - carrying it across the total product experience so that we can continue to deliver exceptional linen products that make people’s lives better. Lucky for us, she said yes.
